PUNJABI KADHI PAKODA: MAKE WITH HEART - SERVE WITH SMILE

SERVING: 04 PERSON

WHAT YOU NEED:
1. Gram flour : 3 Tablespoons
2. Curd (preferably sour curd): 250 gm
3. Cooking oil (to fry Pakoda)

1. Onion: 01 No small
2. Green Chili: 02 No
3. Garlic : 3-4 single buds
4. coriander: few leaves

1. Red Chilly powder- (according to taste)
2. Mustard Powder - 1/4th tea spoon
3. Red dry chilly - 1-2 No.
4. cumin seeds: 1/4th tea spoon
5. coriander seeds: 1/4 tea spoon

Salt to taste

HOW TO COOK:

1. Make paste of gram flour (besan) adding a pinch of salt.
2. Cut onion and green chilly in round slice (as we do for salad)
3. Separate the rings of the onion.
4. Add onion and green chilies in gram flour paste.
5. Fry little balls (Pakodas) of Onion, green Chili and gram flour paste. Note: the
Pakodas should be taken out from pan while they are little raw (should not be made crispy).
6. Blend the curd and make it lump free.
7. Add one tea spoon gram flour in it and blend again.
8. Add around 2 glass full of water in it

9.Take another pan and add a little oil.
10. In Hot oil add crushed garlic and let it be turn black in colour.
11. Then add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, dry red chilly
12. Pour some water in the pan
13. When the water begins to boiling, pour the curd and gram flour mixture in it.
14. Add mustard powder, salt and red chilly power in it and PLEASE NOTE as soon as 15. it comes to boiling, keep on stirring it otherwise the curd will convert into cheese and the kadhi will spoil.
16. After first boil add the fried balls (pakodas) in it and keep on stirring continuously for
few minutes.
17. Let it cook for 15-16 minutes
18. Keep on stirring in between while it is taken off from the stove.

HOW TO SERVE:

Shift Kadhi in serving dish and decorate with coriander leaves.
It can be served with while boiled rice or Indian Bread
